This weekend, I gave our entryway a much-needed refresh. We’d outgrown the old setup and I was in need of more storage for some baby gear and other day-to-day items we use. I ordered some easy-to-assemble cabinets, swapped out the mirror, and organized everything in baskets. I’m obsessed with how this entryway makeover turned out!
Here’s what it looked like before. This is what it looked like when it’s clean…normally this whole area would pile up with stuff.
Here’s what the cabinets look like. I decided to put two side-by-side and I think it makes for a really high end look for less. We ordered black, but they have white too!
The goal was for this area to house everything we use daily: laptop, notebooks, books, blankets, candles, pens, glasses, keys, makeup, daily purse/backpack, etc.
The cabinets are a bit taller than I’m used to (they are 41″), but I usually do my makeup here and I think they’re the perfect height for that. We used wicker baskets to store everything inside the cabinets. I think having the baskets inside is key or else the cabinets can still look messy through the metal mesh.
I found the mirror heavily discounted at my local Crate and Barrel outlet. It’s from CB2! I got it for half the price of the retail online. The hooks are from CB2 as well. Ours are brass and black.
Here’s everything we used for this entryway makeover!
