Have you ever tried to put off a renovation as long as you can? That’s where we’re at with this bathroom. Eventually, we will need to fully gut and redo it (we have some 60 year old cast iron pipes in the wall and under the floor that need replacing, a tub that’s peeling and chipping, and outdated shower tiles…but for now, we wanted to stick with just a cosmetic fix.
This weekend, I swapped out my stainless steel sink drain to match our brass sink! This was one of those projects where I ordered the part months ago, and just never got around to it. This installation took us about an hour from start to finish, including clearing out everything from under our sink and putting it back.
This week at the antique store, this china set stopped my in my tracks. Someone recently mentioned that some vintage china contains led. I happened to have a lead test at home because I've been testing some of my antique decor pieces, so I decided to test it.
Today for 5% Saturday, we finally added a full-size mirror to our bedroom! Because of the layout and the small size of our room, we’ve never been able to fit a mirror in here.
Okay, it's true...Halloween is WAY more fun with kids! Since this was our first Halloween as a family of three, we wanted to do a family costume.
