I had the cutest idea this week to make a Valentine’s Day garland with some faux flowers and fishing line! Here’s how I did it:
What you’ll need for this DIY Valentine’s Day Garland:
- Faux Flowers
- Fishing Line
- Command Hooks
- Garden Shears
- Hot Glue Gun
I got some faux flowers from my local craft store and cut the actual flowers from their stems with some garden shears.
Then, I poked a tiny hole in the flowers with tiny scissors and threaded fishing line through it. I tried a needle and fishing line and that just didn’t work…trust me! I spaced all of the flowers out about 10″.
To hang the strands, I tied a little knot around a command hook I stuck to the top of the wall! To keep the flowers in place, I added a tiny little dab of hot glue to the back of each flower where I thread the fishing line through. I made 10 strands and spaced them each about a foot apart.
*If you try this project yourself, I recommend hot gluing the flowers to the fishing line before you hang it on the wall!
And that’s it! I’m having a little Galentine’s Day party this coming week and I think this garland will be the cutest backdrop for photos. I love it so much!
How CUTE is this Valentine’s Day garland?! And it was so easy to make! This would be perfect for a spring birthday part or really any party. You can customize this garland with your own flowers of choice. I’ll definitely be doing this again!
