As I’ve been working on redoing Jake and I’s bedroom, I decided I wanted to install some window panes! New Panes, a small family business, has been making these window panes for decades. They’re so easy to install. Here’s how I did it!
Custom Measurements
New Panes took the measurements for our windows via email and sent over exactly what we needed. These are removable window grids so if you ever need to replace your windows, you can take them right off and reinstall! I wanted my panes to match the windows so I spray painted them black!
Installation
To install, you just apply the adhesive to the pre-cut strips they send you, position the panes and press them on. Don’t forget to make sure they’re level!
From the outside, they look pretty good! You can see little stickers on each grid. They do send velcro which might look cleaner from the outside. I chose to use tape because it makes the panes sit a bit more flush to the windows.
Roman Shades
Next, I installed some roman shades from Drapeful. We got the color Seashell. I use these all around our house! These provide a bit of light filtering while still letting light in in the morning! If you use code SARAH RANDALL you’ll get a discount on your order.
New Curtains
Then, I installed these curtains from Anthropologie. I got these curtain rods from Amazon! I haven’t had any pattern in this room since we moved in, so I was so excited for these curtains!
Look how good these windows look! The panes really made the windows look more custom and special.
You can see how we installed the beautiful pendant in here in this blog post. Stay tuned for the entire bedroom reveal!
