Hi, we're Jake & Sarah

Before:

After

After a fresh coat of white paint (Snowbound by HGSW) and swapping out the old carpet for wood floors, we took down all the “bear fish deer” decor (as I like to call it), and got to work updating the space. We had one wall painted Rock Bottom by HGSW, added an industrial media console and nightstands, a large rug with subtle pattern, and a shelf above the bed for a focal point. To build the shelf, we used brackets linked below and an inexpensive piece of 1×8 pine that we painted black.

The geometric wooden art also is a subtle nod to the surrounding mountainous terrain. I found some amazing faux plants from afloral.com to finish the space. I’m aways super impressed with their quality. The owner found the cognac leather chair on OfferUp and had it re-filled and re-polished. I always like incorporating an older piece so not everything in a room is brand-new.

Here are all our sources:

pillow inserts
