Transforming the IKEA Hemnes dresser:
Apart from the wood, everything can be ordered on Amazon!

paint
1. Zinsser oil-based primer
2. white latex paint (I’d order 2)
3. seal with satin polyurethane

modern legs (inspired by @angelarosehome)
1. 1×2 pine boards, cut to size
2. nail gun or pocket hole jig & drill
3. champagne mist spray paint

custom handles
1. 1/2” wooden dowels
2. 1/2” copper elbows
3. epoxy

You may need a paintbrush and a roller if you don’t have them already. You will also need a chop saw to make your cuts.
