We're so glad you're here! We've been transforming spaces together for the past five years and slowly renovating our own 1950's home. Join us as we create a home we love!

Hi, we're Jake and Sarah

Happy 5% Saturday! Let’s get right to it!

1. Replace Toilet Seat

We have always had a plastic toilet seat..but we found this wooden one for $15! So why not change them out!

All you need is:
a screwdriver
a channel lock

You can do this. It’s so easy!

This toilet seat snaps off so you can actually FULLY clean it. Looks so fresh!

2. Bed Foundation

Apparently we were supposed to have one this whole time and we’re finally getting around to it. It’s 5% Saturday afterall! Typically the site where you buy your mattress will tell you whether or not you need a foundation and if so, how tall it should be.

Currently, it kind of hurts to sit down on the edge of our bed because the wood digs into my legs. Also, the bedding doesn’t fit as well as it should. We need a 5 inch foundation.

Here’s the box it came in. I thought it would be the biggest delivery ever! But this is it..so easy!

The rods just snap in and the fabric zips around it.

Our duvet fits much better now and its way more comfortable to sit down.

I looked all over the internet and ordered the most budget-friendly option I could find. Honestly the mattress feels much more supportive already. I could tell the difference right away! We ordered the king size in 5”. Check your bed manufacturer to find out if you need a foundation and what size!

3. Bike Chain

Jake put his bike chain back on so we can finally go for a bike ride TOGETHER.

We biked to lunch and back!

Check out our bike tutorial makeover here…it is not for the faint of heart but it’s so worth it.

See you next Saturday!
