We're so glad you're here! We've been transforming spaces together for the past five years and slowly renovating our own 1950's home. Join us as we create a home we love!

Hi, we're Jake and Sarah

At this point, I look forward to 5% Saturday. The little changes I put off for a long time end up making a huge difference! If you have little annoying things around the house that you never finished…join me today. It really does feel so good to finish them!

1. Swap out trash can

We’ve had the same $3 trash can for years. It’s time to move on. Haha.

Having a nice trash can feels like a right of passage into adulthood.

This Simple Human trashcan is awesome. It’s hands-free, has a soft close, and it stores extra trash bags on the back. I ordered the 55L size but they have smaller options as well.

2. Dispose of household chemicals

Okay this is just turning into trash day…

Here in California, we can’t throw old household chemicals in the trash. We have to bring them to a hazardous waste facility. So naturally it is a task we put off for two years.

It was actually so easy! They take things like car fluids, oil based paint, poisons, aerosols, flammables, and so many other things. They unloaded everything from my car. I just had to give them my ID and sign a form AND it was free – unlike the dump.

3. Clean up last bit of waste from our Bike Makeover

There was spray paint left on the floor of our garage from our Bike Flip! I used this pressure washer to wash it all away.

I shared this pressure washer back when we did our pathway project as well and it ended up being a cheaper option for some of you than a two-day rental!

Garage floor is as good as new now.

Happy Saturday. See you next week!
